Everyone has their own techniques when it comes to knitting depending on who taught them. Just like most tasks there is always room to improve and learn different techniques that will be helpful. Below are three different techniques from Grandma that anyone can apply.
1. When casting on, make sure there is enough yarn to make it all the way through the weave that need to cast on the needle. Anything that is left over can be cut to size.
2. To keep you seams hidden in the sides and give it an overall neater look, join the second or third ball of yarn at the edges rather than the middle.
3. Make sure to always pull the yarn from the center of the ball rather than the outside. By doing this the yarn should flow better and not end up in a tangled mess.
